I am hoping to eventually produce an illustrated song book and am currently (slowly) working on an acrylic painting of my song "Run Red" (which you can instantly hear from my personal "My Space" page at:-
http://www.myspace.com/elainesamuels)
It is about the beast inside a woman, which takes the form of a werewolf and this song (and painting) is based on an Alan Moore story called "The Curse" from a comic called "Swamp Thing".
Painting work is extremely slow because I am trying to make sure I and the "Kindred Spirit" duo / trio and band have plenty of gigs plus I have been writing new material, which now requires arranging with the band.
This Saturday, May 23rd, my "Kindred Spirit" band are performing a special concert to launch their new album, "Metamorphosis". We will be performing at Central Studio, in Basingstoke, UK, which is a lovely small theatre venue. Find out more from http://www.elainesamuels.co.uk/news.htm
As well as a lovely atmosphere and dedicated sound engineers, the band has created a slide show to be projected on stage to go with the songs, which, together with expertise of the lighting engineer, should create a magical experience. Some of the slides are enhanced versions of the artwork on the new album and can be seen in the gallery opposite e.g.

New Logo
We have designed a logo for Kindred spirit, which you will see around from now; on the new album, on web sites and we hope to have it available on T-shirts fairly soon. You should be able to see it on my deviant art site.
The logo's woven pentangle represents the five members of the "Kindred Spirit" band, the "Kindred" inside the circle, which represents the earthly plane. The blue flames, emanating from and entwined with the pentangle and breaking through the earthly plane represent the "Spirit". If you look closely you can also see that the flames make a "K" and an "S".
